![]() ![]() The buffet had more options, but our family couldn't enjoy most due to food allergies. There was very little variety in food choices with most restaurants offering pizza, salads, burgers, or chicken tenders. It would be cheaper to order the few foods that I enjoyed at a sit down restaurant offsite. We ate at the buffet at Loose Moose Cottage for breakfast and dinner and neither were anything special. While the positives are quite abundant, there were some negatives as well. But the location of Great Wolf Lodge cannot be beat! It is approximately a 10 minute walk to King's Island by a private path (which is out in the open so it can get very hot if it's a sunny summer day) and within a short drive to many chain restaurants and sit down restaurants as well. Thankfully, it just turned the other way. We even received a visit from a skunk who walked right onto our patio while we were sitting on it. However, the wildlife is abundant and there were many racoons and opposums close by if we were sitting on our patio after dark. ![]() We heard absolutely nothing - ZERO noise from the hallway or the parking lot at night. We were in a room on the first floor, about 10 rooms past door 2. That helped to keep some of the light from the room out of his area and we brought a fan as well to block out noise since he goes to bed earlier than us. There is no door separating this "room" from the rest of the hotel room so we brought some clamps that we use to clamp down the tarp on our son's sandbox and hung a sheet over the doorway. We booked a Kid Kamp Suite and our 3 year-old loved having his "own room" complete with bunk beds and a TV. While the rooms themselves were spacious with great amenities, such as a microwave and refrigerator, there was very little storage space and the rooms easily became crowded with belongings and snacks. As a family, we had booked regular rooms, themed rooms, and a premium room. All of the rooms were located close to one another so they were able to go from one room to another on their own. While they required much more supervision, they were able to enjoy most areas of the water park. There was a 3 year-old and a 4 year-old in the group as well. They LOVED the arcade and spent every evening playing games. They were all tall enough to enjoy any water silde or play area in the water park and outdoors and independent enough for their parents to relax while they watched out for each other. We were a group of 23 - 11 adults and 12 children between the ages of 1 and 13, with most being between 8 and 13. My in-laws decided to have their 50th wedding anniversary family vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. ![]()
